If you’re looking for a winter coat that checks all the boxes, this is the one. Extremely warm, waterproof, superb quality materials, yet sleek and not at all bulky. Snug hood to keep your head warm, two handwarmer pockets and two more big outside flap pockets to store all your gloves, phones, etc., ribbed storm cuffs to keep your arms toasty, inner drawstring at waist to adjust fit. Snaps conceal the zip closure. The outer material is a densely woven Italian cotton twill that keeps out the wind and moisture, and the quilted 230G thinsulate lining keeps in the heat.

Retail $585 and brand new with tags. Moved to warmer climes before I ever had the chance to wear it. When I got it at the Steven Alan store, they told me this is made by Spiewak, who specialize in winter outerwear.

Fit – the fit is somewhat oversized. So this is tagged XS, but I think best for a true S, which would be more fitted and still with room to layer. Measurements:
