Construction: Windsor Calf; Full leather lining; Double leather soles; Storm welt; Leather heels with v-cleat
The last image is Florsheim's ad introducing the Weathered Moss version of the Imperial line in 1965. The color is brown with a subtle hint of green thus the title Weathered Moss. Built to the highest standards Florsheim had to offer. The V Cleat is highly regarded as the gold standard of vintage shoes with the the popular models in black (92604) brown(93602) and shell cordovan(93605).
While those other models were made for decades with plenty to pick from in various second hand condition, the Weathered Moss(93630) was only produced from 1965-1968. This pair up for sale has a date code of "AG." The "A" indicates the month which would be January and the "G" would be the last number of the year which would be 7 meaning these were likely produced in January 1967.
This pair is in used condition. Clearly the original owner loved to show these off and wore them with pride. The outsole has had a rubber half sole added for traction and the heels have been redone with the signature v Cleat added back to the other heels. Please examine the images closely for the best idea of condition. Some scratches and creases throughout the shoes but are in wearable condition as is but could use a new heel stack and top lift for best results if you plan on wearing these with regular use.
