This is a standard bifold wallet with special materials. It has eight card slots, two hidden slots behind them, and a lined billfold. It measures up at 4″ x 4 1/2″ x 1/2″ closed.
The outside is made of alligator from American Tanning & Leather, with an arresting glazed finish. Inside is Conceria Walpier’s blue Dollaro vegetable tanned leather, providing both color and textural contrast. Lining the billfold is marine blue goat leather.
I hand stitched this with braided polyester thread. Edges are all burnished or painted so no raw edges are exposed.
It is worth noting that this alligator skin has one visible defect, a small bite mark on one side. Here is a photo of the area in question, see if you can spot it. It didn’t bother me enough to cause me to not use the skin, but since it is a skin defect I don’t want to sell it without making it clear that this is here. You be the judge.
