Will a cobbler fix crooked stitching on a leather sandals?

I got customized birkenstocks recently and the person used real Louis Vuitton leather to put on top of the original sandal. His stitching came off as crooked and I can't return them. I am trying to see if it is possible for a shoe cobbler to re-stitch the sandals and make the lines straight.

I think that the stitching could be redone but the original holes in the leather will still be visible. Also they would have to take care to use the original holes on the buckle end of the strap so as not to add new holes where the stitching is currently straight. I’d suggest actually taking those to someone more familiar with making or repairing fine leather goods (wallets, belts, bags) rather than your neighborhood cobbler.

@sarah_08 this is a bit of an unusual question for this forum (it's mostly fuddy duddy middle-aged dudes) so I'm not sure if the expertise here is what you need, but FWIW, there's a guy named Steve with a shop in Falls Church VA called Bedo's that is everyone here's go-to for unusual/complicated leather projects. Your best bet is to contact him for an assessment, and then you can mail these to him if he thinks he can make it look the way you intended.
