Looks great. Does anyone know if Fox Air cloth would work as jacket-only?

I'm looking for some patterned cloth that's crsip and without the shabbiness of Linen.

For sure some of them work as sport coat, I have FA 7 as a sport coat:

FA7 : Plain Weave Grey, Black and Walnut Gunclub Check

For a light grey suit? Tom Cruise in Collateral, or Roger Sterling in Mad Men.

As for the sheen, each fabric is different so you’d have to judge it in person.

If you decide not to go with mohair, H&S Crispaire has a beautiful light grey that I chose to make my version of Tom Cruise’s Collateral suit. I prefer Crispaire to other open weave fabrics like Fresco…. But again, I’m a minority in that regards on Styleforum.

I’m doing a run of these two discontinued 400g Minnis woollen flannel. Mid grey and brown.

Mid grey was last offered as a special run about 5 years ago ago. A number of guys have asked for a re-run. There’s some of the original yarn left for a run of the brown one so I will try to fill that one also.

Not much interest in the brown flannel so I will remove it. Grey one is almost there. Also offering this RAF blue melange woollen flannel 400g which is getting better traction than brown. See attached pics. The second pic shows it next to a standard navy flannel. Please PM if interested. Thanks in advance.

What about a darker gray in addition to the mid gray. I tend to wear the darker shades more these days for odd trousers. Just a thought.

Looking for a patterned jacket that combines grey and blue and am considering these two from Fox’s Sport Jacketing… Which one do people prefer? I’m leaning towards the first one, SP7.

I'm holding my swatch of SP7 up to the screen. They are similar but not the same. There is a bit more of a bluish tinge to SP7 and it is a little fuzzier. The caption for the above pic on Instagram also says it is a summer weight, and SP7 is 14/15 oz.

Agree that the above is awesome.

I met with Steven Hitchcock today. He brought along swatches of the last of the Smiths Blue Riband. There were a couple of navy twills, a navy micro herringbone, a navy stripe, a few greys. I grabbed a navy twill for a single breasted suit that had just 17 meters left.

I forgot to look at Regency, which is what Harrison’s suggested as a replacement for Blue Riband.

From Caccioppoli’s spring/summer 2024 jacket book. I love Cacciopoli. They always have interesting patterns and colors and it’s unusual to have an entire book dedicated to lightweight jacketing. I think this one is my favorite this year.

Alright, so I have worn my trousers in this cloth (Code 34/21) for quite a few times now, and I am not entirely blown away by its quality.

Comparatively speaking it is not as drapey and crease-resistant as the Ascot 4-ply. The only advantage I can feel is that the First Class feels smoother to the touch, but only when compared to other high-twists.

I find the Ascot 4-ply provide a more elegant look even cut wider-legged, as the cloth is so drapey and bouncy your trousers would innately want to keep that crease straight; on the other hand, the First Class could look somewhat baggy when worn for a while, due to its softer qualities.

I have a suit in 34/19 and I agree. I dont know if there are any particular qualities that stand out. I do find it a little rougher than the 4-ply, especially when putting my hands in pockets but maybe thats just me

Also, managed to commission a pair of trousers in Rogna's 4 ply and Im a big fan
