Speaking of Rolex, Guys (if you had one) which model was your first Rolex, and what memories are associated with it ?
My first Rolex--a 36mm Explorer--was acquired a long time ago, in late December 2022. When that reference was (re-)introduced in 2021, I walked over to the AD near my office, took a look, and told them I wanted one. I didn't really follow up other than pop in for a few minutes to look around once every few months if I was in the area grabbing coffee or running an errand. Then the AD texted me one weekend right before Christmas, and I had him hold it for me until Monday when I was back downtown.

I wear it probably 85% of the time.

Like @b-ill , it reminds me of daring sexual escapades that would make even the most promiscuous street walkers blush.

A few months ago, I also acquired a 36mm Oyster Perpetual 12600-0001 (with the silver sunray dial and gold hour markers), which is even crazier than the Explorer!

I got to as

Milgauss - mid 2010s
Datejust - I think early 00s can’t remember
Submariner mid 2010s
5513 sub from 1966

No real memories lol. Most I got in trades and only accepted because they were more liquid than what I was selling.

The 5513 I bought for my dad but he literally never wore it 😆

Disappointed to see this actual watch sell for half the lower estimate at today’s Only Watch sale. Apart from the flagship pieces, it was pretty much a washout.
The Genta piece was stunning though, it had the best cloisonné enamel dial I have seen in ages. And I am including Anita Porchet.
You could get on? Christie‘s site has been down for hours.

Started following this kid after he got the Tiffany Nautilus...I wanna know what his/his family's bank account looks like. As a kid from a humble non-Manhattanite upper middle class family, this kinda stuff just blows my mind

In Philadelphia it’s worth 50 bucks, so….
Had an interesting chat with Herr Lederer in Geneva, I like what he is doing but he was adamant in his opinion that only Daniels and himself really understand the natural escapement and that the rest of the world are on the wrong track.
