Can't seem to find any 30 inch flat shoe laces for my aldens...does anyone have any quality non-alden brands they'd recommend?

My favorite socks are my Paul Smith ones (signature stripes in Cotton or Silk). Does anyone have any other recommended brands that are of similar quality and thickness?

From what I can gather, it's sort of like trying to buy a Rolex these days. Get on a list with a retailer, and wait a long time. Spend history can (but not always?) influence the length of the wait.

-A guy with no rare shell and no Rolex, but on "the list" for the latter

I always say my favorite pair is whatever my most recent happens to be, but these blue suede LHS may just stay in the top spot.

Generally, rare shell is offered as an incentive for regular customers of a particular retailer and are invite only. The Shoe Mart will accept your name in a general rare shell list and when your name is selected they email you and you can confirm or deny the particular makeup. Otherwise, eBay or the styleforum Alden buy sell trade thread.

Rolex is far easier and quicker in my opinion 😂 😭

Hard to find, and most stores will only put you on a waitlist if you have a purchase history. However, there are certainly some places that will just put you on the list if you ask.

Check the SF Alden Buy and Sell thread. There's been a lot of great rare shell for sale lately, some new or like-new, for great prices.

Those look pretty cool. I’ve always felt that the navy suede looks a little “flashy,” but maybe I should give them a try.

Worth the wait, 124060 took me 3 months. Any rare shell has been at least 6 months.
