Very nice jacket. I'll be in Paris in a few months, how do you like Scavini trousers? I hears good things about his trousers and chinos.

Can these AE shoes be saved?

Thank you, I thought of using Renomat but I am a little worried about destroying them

Can these AE shoes be saved?

Hello, I bought these shoes at a thrift store last night. I did my best to wash and condition them, they look a lot better, but I can't get rid of these black stains. Anyone know what do do, and if there is hope? I have not tried saddle soap, not sure if that would help. Thank you.

The Official Thrift / Discount Store Bragging Thread Part III (Sept 2018-)

AE, Ralph Lauren tie and a bunch of suspenders in good condition. There are some stains on the shoes that won't come off, I'm not sure what I should try.

What is the proper fit for leather loafers?

I don't have a lot of experience with shoes, so I may be wrong. I went with the regular size but thought that the leather felt a lot more stiff than other shoes I bought in the past. Now I barely get any heel slipage and the rest of the shoe feels great. I only had this happen with loafers...

What is the proper fit for leather loafers?

I only bought two pairs of quality loafers in my life, but both time I got crazy heel slippage when trying on the shoes, even on smaller sizes. However, after a few painful days breaking them in, there was no more slippage. Not sure if you would experience the same thing, but that is what...

THank you, I will try that. I was afraid that the casual aspect of the loafer would contrast too much with the more formal black color.

The Official Thrift / Discount Store Bragging Thread Part III (Sept 2018-)

Found a pair of black AE loafers, fits almost perfectly but I may need to stretch them to try to make then 1/4 size larger. I never had black loafers before, maybe it would work with charcoal trousers and a navy blazer. Florsheim shoes that look too glossy, not a big loss if Renomat and...

The Official Thrift / Discount Store Bragging Thread Part III (Sept 2018-)

Sperry topsider (to be fair, I took the picture after cleaning/conditioning/polish), probably worn once or twice then stored in a dusty place. Very heavy jacket, I'll have to get the sleeves lengthened and maybe replace the buttons. From left to right, Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren, Hathaway...

Any hope to alter this jacket?

Thank you for your help. My pose could be a little unnatural as I set up a 3s timer on my phone to take the pictures and may not had time to properly stand. But good point I will ask a tailor. Someone else mentioned the sleeves being too short. The jacket sleeves are about 1/2 - 1/3 inch...

Any hope to alter this jacket?

Interesting, I didn't know it could be that. Thank you, I'll go see a tailor next weekend! By a lot? Maybe it is the pose on the pictures, I measured the sleeves and they are really close to my other tailored jackets sleeves lenghts.
