No idea. It's listed as "lama" so I marked it as such.

It is soft but has a bit of heft to it and drapes very well. It has guts, so the minimal lining feels like it wouldn't be a problem with drape.

No, they are different critters, so I'm sure they are made of llama wool as stated. I was simply suggesting that llama fabric might be similar to alpaca. RJman mentioned in another thread that he had a llama coat, and he also just took possession of an alpaca sportcoat. He might be able to compare the two. I have alpaca sportcoats, but no experience with llama.

My experience with llama (limited to two garments) is that it adds a touch of roughness and thickness (for lack of a better word...different than weight) to a wool blend, much like alpaca. Like alpaca (and like wool, for that matter), I believe the base material can be woven a number of different ways, so I have some alpaca blends so soft as to be almost mistaken for a cashmere and others rough enough to be a heavy tweed. My guess is that, in this case, it would make the jacket a touch more rustic.

All ebay listings have been revised for more easy viewing of the pictures. You learn something new every day, and apparently today's lesson is that the picture viewer stinks, and makes it difficult to see large images.

Can't wait to get mine! And damn those working buttonholes on the 38R in lama wool. 1-1.5" shorter and I'd get it too.

I think every 38/slim 40 on StyleForum is looking at that jacket and being foiled by the arm length. I'm in that club.
