I don't understand why this thread is ******** on Levis as subpar, when Levis quality ranges from $40 (JC Penneys) to $260+ for LVCs (Boutiques). The quality between the two seems to be quite different, in both material and construction, is it not?

It's like comparing RLPL to Lauren by Ralph Lauren

The same can be said for a car. You guys mention a $25k difference between cars. For some makes and models, $25k is a few upgrades to interior, nav, wheels, and engine (esp when you consider makes by the same manufacturer, i.e. Honda + Acura, Toyota + Lexus, etc...)

We're obviously not talking about LVC here though, come on. Context.

Fine by me. I just want to point out that Levis can make a decent pair of jeans, even today, and even by this forum's standards.

I feel obligated to defend BMWs here...

The BMW forum I have seen (E46forums) does not tell people to mod their ****, they are 80%+ about DIY maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical probs. Cars are a hobby just like fashion/clothes/whateveryouprefer. SF members spend a ridiculous amount of time and money on something that most people don't give a **** about. It just so happens that douches picked an awesome car to beast over. There are owners who legit love their cars though and it is totally unfair to combine those groups together. The guy in question ITT sounds like the latter fwiw

I have to say, the last BMW event I went to was a ******* blast. Lots of stock (or near stock) cars driving as fast as possible around old airport runways. Didn't track mine cuz it's my daily but did enjoy the **** out of my brother's GTI lol

+1 for standing up.

I have always admired BMW design and performance.
