One shouldn't massacre, the Chris Deburgh, for the tweed.

Well, I don't see why you should have any problem finding a girl like that. Her looks and clothing are quite common and ordinary and dull beyond words.

Of course there are much more better examples from Chanel than the one pictured, but at least it shows a lady not wearing pants.

Excellent example, although tweed is not really a traditional fabric for women. You only start seeing it creeping in starting from around the late 19th century.

Here is what I could come up with from roughly the same period or a bit earlier:

I actually think the clothes look good on her, provided you like the more conservative style of Ben Silver in the first place. I've always thought that she looks like a girl you wouldn't mind bringing home to meet your mom, and there's certainly nothing wrong with that. Of course, it's probably not the look that fuels most mens' fantasies.

Speaking of conservative clothing models, I find this woman who is currently being featured by Brooks Brothers to be truly striking:

I think that material is more accurately called boucle. Maybe we should start a the thread "The Women of Boucle"

Ahhh. Thanks for the education.

Yeah chorse, I've often wondered where Ben Silver finds the "goobers" to model its clothing. It always looks to me like they're not professional models.

I think they use employees or relatives of the owners. At least, that's the word over at AAAT.
