Tweed? I couldn't sartorially trust anybody is in a tweed fan...

The best verbal feedback from women I've ever gotten was on my dufflecoat and/or belted trench and white common projects. Funnily enough I've gotten the most numbers on a night out in a TaT peak lapel suit and bow tie rocking the high water pants look.

Depends on the woman. Some woman seem to be drawn to douchebags. I'm sure the advice from such specimens should be avoided at all cost.

The only advice I'll take is a suggestion on which shirt tie combo looks better. As far as buying clothes/shoes, I buy all my own.
It is reasonable, in the sake of a relationship, to listen what they like on you. Occasionally I will buy something to wear, just if they really like it. The opposite also applies too.

I can't say how many women have asked me if my ex-wife dressed me - I guess they think men can't pick out nice clothes for themselves. That isn't surprising, I guess, considering most guys like to wear Ed Hardy Douchebag wear, and crappy jeans and sneakers, a la Jersey Shore.

They can advise me on how to dress as long as they accept to get undressed later on...

After this sexist aparte , I need to point out that welcoming sartorial advice is one ting acting on them is another...

I personally believe women shouldn't pick men's clothing unless very well trained by her mate.

I guess you imply this in the last part of your third sentence. But if she has a good eye, why the heck not? PLenty of women ask my opinion on what they should wear. I don't consider it a privilege of mine (as many women would attempt to dictate what their men should wear and when) but I take it as a compliment and I oblige them.

I have developed an aversion for tweed in my youth because of personal irrational reasons...

I do hate particularly older ladies wearing tweed...

I have to talk to a mental health professional after such confession....

I did sound like a serial killer...
