that's what work/outdoors boots are supposed to look like! nice collection of points, as well.

Yep, I agree. give these things another year or two and they should look really good.

Those points were all found in one ravine and according to my local point guru represents about 10,000 years of human history. He says I've got a Clovis point fragment all the way up to Woodland period relics from that single ravine. He really really really wants me to take him out there. Wonder why? LOL! About 7 miles down the road is Graham's Cave. I plan on scouring the surrounding area in the hopes of finding a Graham point. Might be a long search but I just might get lucky.

And the tan Addisons will on my feet.... look for an update in a few months.

Recently got my pair back from the cobbler. I had to have them resoled as I had worn a hole through on both feet. I can't imagine I've walked 1000 miles in them in less than a year, but I do walk a ton living in NYC.

When I noticed the holes developing back in December, I gave Wolverine a call and explained the problem. They were nice enough to offer to pay for the cost of resoling. So in the end I sent back the receipt and they mailed a check.

Anyone else notice what would seem like premature wear to the soles?

Other than having to live a month without them, I have nothing to complain about. Love these boots and obviously wear them a lot.

I honestly searched through the thread before asking, but please can anyone confirm the size of 1000 mile vs RW IR? As far as I figured out from this thread, they generally take the same size, but Wolverines are wider because of the IR being narrow. I own a pair of 8.5 IR, and they are uncomfortable for me (my guess they are too narrow; and size 9 were way too big). Does it mean that 8.5 Wolverines would probably fit me right? Also, is the fit same between classic 1000 mile and Addison? Thank you very much.

Just picked up a pair of Rockford in 8.5. Fit perfectly - I typically take a 9 or 9.5. Here is the weird thing - they make my feet look crazy small. Seriously, a Rockford on the right foot makes the AE Fairfax on my left foot look like a huge clown shoe. Anybody else find that the boots make your feet look tiny?

I experienced the same thing with my 1000 miles. The boots make my feet look VERY small and disproportionate. I ordered a half size down in the W width and my feet look better, but the shoe is too wide. I think I'm going to have to look for another boot .:brick:

So, any recommendations for similar quality boot in similar fit (RW too narrow) that don't give you tiny-looking feet?

There are lots that work...but really, why worry about it? I think it's more the shape of the boot how it looks from above, rather than the actual size of the boot.
