Women, whether you know it or not. Personal entertainment is just a byproduct.

What if they're the type of guys who enjoy taking it up the AZZ?

For me, it's in this order:

Women.
Comfort/myself.

I tried convincing myself that I was dressing "for me" but the truth of the matter is I like being complimented and knowing that I look good. I also prefer to be comfortable. Being comfortable and dressing well aren't mutually exclusive but it's easier for me to wear scrubs than a shirt and tie and cuts down on my time doing laundry, ironing, etc. and the fact of the matter is that it's often more important to me not to have to "waste time" doing those things or worrying about my shoes being ruined because of the weather.

I'm engaged and haven't been "on the market" for quite some time but I still enjoy knowing women are checking me out and appreciate me clothing. Maybe that means I'm insecure but...whatever.

I think you've given me a good honest answer. That's what I was looking for. Even if you dress for yourself everyone appreciates a compliment. I dress for myself and when I look in the mirror I want to be happy with how I look; if I get a compliment then that's a plus.

Coming from you, that's hilarious! (In the case of most men, you are probably right, on consideration).

In my case, mostly to please myself, with comfort being the secondmost consideration.

Since I'm married, attracting women is not a priority, and my wife thinks I overdress anyway and resents that fact.

As far as being competitive with other men, I would have to dress down a great deal in my daily apparel before I even started to become "competitive" with the vast majority of men I encounter!

I dress for myself. I think that dressing to attract ladies, at my college age, is not generally dressing very well. Wearing Diesel and True Religion would be a safe way, although I do often get compliments on my style of dress these days. So it's just a bonus, I only dress so that I look good myself.

It's a combination of the choices. Of course i wear my clothes for me and to have a good comfort. Secondly i wear it for looking good to women and for competition with other guys as well.

Comfort, Style, Looking good with the ladies, have to be the 3 predominant choices
