Might be an odd question . . .

Their extra slim fit OCBDs fit me perfectly, and I can't find anything of near the quality for what they cost (around $60 when you buy 3 on the Corp. sale). Do they have any patterned options, or are there other retailers that would be on par for the price?

^Does BB have ESF shirts in patterns? Yes, search for "Milano" fit. That's what they're calling ESF now.

I was at the Alden shop in SF yesterday and again disappointed to see how the welts were sewn. The stitches were pretty high count but they were not very well done

I noticed the same on my BB Alden. I bought it because of the cordovan and I was able to use BB 40% off discount with my SA.

This is an especially big issue for us snowshoe wearers (11.5 US). The skinnier Northampton welt works better for us, whereas the heft of Alden/AE welt might help the 7.5/8 guys on whom a tight-fitting welt might look elfin.

Yeah, it's sad how the quality level had declined. I have a few pairs that are 12+ years old and they have beautiful welts, just as nice as most Northampton stuff. Here's one:

I also noticed that currently the upper leather doesn't curve inward above the welt. It just falls straight like a curtain onto the welt. This is part of why the welt sticks so far out -- it isn't tucked under the upper. I've gone into the SF Alden store once a year for the past five years and have refrained from buying a pair because of this welt situation.

I've had nothing but good experiences with tailoring at the 346 Madison location. I even brought in a white pique waistcoat (which was my dad's and about 20 years old, so I didn't want to bring it in to a random tailor since it's a little delicate) one time that some of the buttons had popped off of and they fixed it up in about 10 minutes and refused to let me pay for the work. I was very impressed.

Why does Brooks Brothers take 2 weeks to tailor a suit you buy? That seems like a really long time.

I once bought a suit at Neiman Marcus and the guy said - "I can have this ready for you in a couple of hours".

2 weeks seems reasonable to me...seems to be the norm for every tailor I've gone to.

Reminder- the Corporate Membership sale is this Wednesday May 20th. It's 30% off. What are folks here planning on buying?

If I tell y'all, do you promise not to snipe it?

I took a look at my 5-6 year old pairs and they're way closer than that. I suspect that might be a particularly bad example.

BB has without question the absolute worst website in the world.

Splash screen on homepage: "25% off with code BBFNF25"

Type in BBFNF25 and get "The promo code you entered has expired".

I turned off ad blocker and cleared all BB cookies to get it to work.

It gets better.

1. Go to a "clean" browser (i.e. no cookies, no ad blocker).
2. Re-add all items to cart.
3. Enter code.
4. It actually works and reflects the 25% off.
5. Login to account.
6. CODE GETS ERASED ("As a corporate member you get a ZERO percent discount").
7. Logout.
8. Cart is now empty.

******* morons.
