What is a good detergent?

I read somewhere that good shirts need a good detergent. I buy in bulk, and the Kirkland Detergent found in Costco is pretty cheap. Am I ok using this for expensive clothes?

I always get the no scent, or color additive detergents. They say if you have hard water detergents are better and if you have soft water soap based cleaners are better.

I don't think it matters that much. Personally, I use Tide, but it may be because I don't know any better.

Don't know anything about the Kirkland detergent, but you're fine with something mild. Avoid bleach, enzymes, etc. that damage fibres. Woolite has worked well for me.

I use Ecos, some hippie crap my wife buys. It cleans my shirts. I have never really encountered any detergent that made me say "Wow, this detergent sucks!" nor any that made me say "Damn, this detergent is amazing."

So yeah, buy any brand's scent-free version and go nuts.
