It depends on the brand, but that's kinda a question only you can answer by seeing what fits and what doesn't. You're probably not gonna get a lot of help here tbh other than telling you to know your measurements and experiment to find out what fits and what doesn't. Also, 172 looks different on everyone. Some people carry most of their weight in their stomachs while it is proportional throughout the legs, chest etc. with other people. There's no definitive answer someone on the Internet can give you other than if your shopping for a shirt, grab a medium and a large, go into the fitting room and buy the one that fits.

Those that fit and you like. It is a nonsense to think that you can be dressed simply by posting such a comment.

I have some mediums, but i think it's too short for my height, and some larges are too big.

Welcome to the forum, rebel. Like TM said, it depends on the brand. Thea best thing you can do is try things on. You should also know your complete measurements (chest, shoulder, sleeves, etc.) so that if the shop provides measurements for what you're looking at, you'll know what you need. There is no sizing standard across be board. Best of luck.
