Walking In The Rain To An Interview (advice)

Gents,

I just moved to a new city and I have an interview on Wednesday. The weatherman claims that I'll be stuck under some lovely rainclouds and I have intentions of wearing leather-soled shoes. I should be out in the open 10 minutes each way. The last time I did this my shoes got a nasty stain up the sides from water damage.

Now, given that "calling a cab" is not an option, nor is changing shoes inside the building (as I have no car yet and am stuck taking public transport so I'd have to carry my outdoor shoes in a shoe bag or some other sort of carrying case), what suggestions could you offer for my dilemma?

Thanks in advance!

Mmm, maybe not the prettiest option but the easiest and most practical... get a pair of rubbers to slip over the shoes. slip em off before going inside and then put them in the ziplock/plastic bag you brought with and either leave them at the door or slip them into your briefcase/folder taht makes you look oh so professional.

Make sure your shoes and soles are well waxed, and show up early enough to allow time for drying off. I've also seen disposable plastic over-shoes, although I have no idea where to buy them.
