I asked another seller about a particular vass shoe that he had listed as a 10D and he told me the measurements and they seemed to be true to size. This may seem obvious, but this is how I found to determine shoe fit, assuming that trying on vass shoes is not an available option. Take note of the length of your shoes. You will find that they should all be within 1/8 of an inch of eachother. For instance, I wear an American 10D and all my shoes are between 12 and 1/4 inches and 12 and 3/8 inches. The ones that are designed to look a little more elongated are 12 and 3/8. But if a shoe is 12 and 1/2 inches I know it is going to be a little big. Even if it seems to fit, it will look too long on my foot. Typically, sizes in a given style will go up 1/8 inch per half size, so you may ask the seller about lengths on a half size smaller and half size smaller. There is also another seller who has several vass shoes listed. You might just ask him measurement questions on several of his shoes. Maybe this is helpful.

Also ask for some photos besides stock... shoes worn "4 times" could've gone 20 miles.

I asked for some sole and heel pictures. I asked about the Euro size, and i guess i shold have asked about the last as well (although it is obviously not the U last) is that I take a full 10D to 10.5D, and in the U last a 44 fits me fine, but in other lasts that would be too big. I notice Gabor thinks posting length and width would be misleading.

Anyway, I find that it is a safer bet for me to get shoes a little to large, than too small, although that is a matter of personal preference.

im a 9.5 E- 10D (10.5 inches long 4.25 inches wide foot)

and I wear a 44 in U last.

i cannot bear the tightness of the 43 which is for some reason labeled as a 10 according to vass.

but when I went back to reorder a 44 and received the shoes, peculiarly, vass put the number size '10' on the sole of the shoes although they are shown to be 44 on the invoice.

i had never tried on a 43.5, i figure it would still be a quite snug fit.

my only problem with the 44 in the U last, if it is a problem , is the visual look of the spacing around my ankle and the throat of the shoe? (part where the foot enters the shoe). there is a bit of extra spacing that gapes when i flex.

but 44 is comfortable. so im not sure what, but i will wear 44 in U.

Ed, if you are a 10.5 , how do you wear a 43? i know it should be very tight for you but can you bear that?

Does Ed wear a 43 in U last or in non-U last? I think in Gabor's listings he lists a 44 U last as a 10, but lists some 44's in other lasts as 11's.
