The Junya Vansons are indeed slim as hell, I went and tried one on today because it's been awhile since I've seen one in the wild.. maybe slimmer than most people might even. I wear slim fashion jackets and I could have taken a little extra breathing room given the weight of the leather, was a bit uncomfortable. The cut is also nothing like any Vanson I've tried on before, either - a lot less "excess" leather, especially in the back and shoulders as well as a ton of waist supression, I don't even know how to articulate it. How much did Junya change for his jackets?

For comparison, here's a slim Vanson for the Japanese market vs. the Junya moto:

We will probably trim things down a bit, but I know that there were complaints about the fit of the Junya, so we will improve on that and learn from the maestro's mistakes, doing a jacket that is slim but not uncomfortably so.

The vanson x Edifice seems a good fit. Essentially a modified c2

Like the Lewis Tight fit models, there is a point of too skinny. Although they look great on some, a happy and versatile middle ground is needed.

**** that moto is so dope

I'm ready to purchase a slim moto if there are 11 other people who are interested.

Guys so per La Guy's request i moved my convo regarding the moto here http://www.styleforum.net/t/384450/...ica-official-affiliate-thread/90#post_7081665

This thread is for the rider but lets chat further with thurston in the other thread and see what they say.

Honestly, I'd like to see what the final design and lead time is on the rider before starting a thread on the moto. Lets see the rider guys complete their order and then we can move to the rider...:slayer:

@LA Guy is receiving a slimfit Vanson for fitting (they're pretty slim). He can give Style Forum members his impressions... If we need to further slim things down, we will. I'm curious to hear his feedback...

@LA Guy would you mind posting what you normally take in shoulder/p2p area just to have an idea.
I'm 5'9 about 155lb slim and i think we may be close in sizing although you said earlier you get a 36 and I'm more of a 38.

Well, the Vanson run large, so I am getting a 36, though my Aero size is a 38. I am 5'11" and 175 lbs, so I'm a size bigger than you. I am usually between a 48 and 50, depending on the brand.

For jackets, generally like 18.25" shoulder and a 42" chest, but that depends on design, material, etc...

My p2p is 20.5, shoulder is 17.5.

that doesnt sound promising for us smaller guys, assuming there's no 34 and starting point is a 36, is it realistic to expect it could be slimmed down to 17" s2s and under 19" p2p?

I will echo Luc's sentiments here. I'm in so long as the fit doesn't deviate too much from the Junya jacket.
