Does anyone own the Jake or Lee tees? Care to comment or review? How's the fit and quality?

How often does Unis stuff go on sale in their store? I read they have a sale in August, but is there anything expected sooner? I want to pull the trigger on some Gio's, but the price is giving me major reservations.

If I'm not mistaken, twice a year (once each season). It's a mixed bag as far as what makes it to sale. If there's a color I really know I want, I tend to buy at full retail to play it safe, but I'll pick up the rest at sale price.

Thanks. Any idea if they ever do a quick 20% off (or whatever) one day type sale?

i have the lee t-shirt. i bought it because i was pretty much in love with the color (a shade of mossy green).

the fit of the t-shirt is pretty good, the sleeves are a little shorter than i would like but it's not horrible or anything, honestly comes down to personal preference. the material is pretty nice, actually. i didn't know when i ordered it that it was slub cotton but it's only slightly "slubbed" so it has a nice texture.

biggest and only real complaint i have with the t-shirt is that the ribbing around the neck doesn't stay firm. instead, after like 3 washes, it kind of does that "roll" and becomes somewhat uneven and startes slightly folding. i've had the same problem with my marc jacobs t-shirts, so i don't know.

i can post a picture of me wearing it if you would like.

^thanks so much for the detailed response! I was actually able to try one on in Neighbour 2 weekends ago and wasn't all that crazy about the fit or fabric. The colours are beautiful, but I can definitely see it not holding it's shape well after some washes.

yeah i wouldn't buy another one of their t-shirts again, just because i feel there are better ones out there. it is a shame because the colors are very beautiful. hopefully they'll improve them in one of the upcoming seasons.

Thinking of grabbing a pair of Gios soon, but I have a couple questions first. I read the thigh measurements for the Gios size 30 is 11" but is that at the crotch or 1" below it? Also, I'm getting mixed messages on whether these fit skinnier or more roomy than Epaulet Rivet chinos? The measurements suggest the Gios fit about 3/4" smaller in the thigh.

might be a long shot, but has anyone got detailed measurements for 31, 32 or 33 (or all three) for the current gios model? Particularly interested in waist, thigh and knee measurements.

I can see measurements on the unionmade site but they suggest no vanity sizing so might reflect previous seasons.

It sort of alarms me that the measurements differ so greatly from those on Unionmade's site... Now, I have no idea how these are going to fit. The size 30 says it has a thigh of 11" on Unionmade and that seems to be the general consensus, yet Unis says it's 12"? That's a pretty dam big difference if you ask me... What do?

You're probably right, but why would they all of a sudden add an entire 1" to the thigh? Kind of odd and a pretty big change to the fit considering that's adding 2" to the entire thigh...

How do the gios stretch in the waist? In between sizes and don't know what to do.

I haven't found them to stretch very much. If in between sizes I would suggest sizing up

Anyone having discomfort from the rise?

I noticed inside the pants, there's another 1/4" or so seam that sticks up along the crotch. This means the rise measurement, as typically taken from the outside, isn't totally accurate since there's more fabric sticking up inside, resulting in less room in the crotch.

I sized the waist so it's comfortable standing up, but is snug when sitting down (even more so in the crotch). Should I size up in the waist and wear them lower? Or are these not for me?
