We carry Fox and will be happy to work with them for a special run. I'll get the specifics from @unbelragazzo and take it from there.
If you're inclined to commission a special run, I'd think about a "donkey" colored flannel, such as Alden did for LL some time ago. Just not 15-17oz--- more like 13 or 14.

I've got suit made up in the Carlo Barbera for Lesser donkey flannel that I'd be happy to share photos of for comparison purposes if that would be helpful?

That would be great - in my head donkey is a little darker and browner than what I would be going for, but photos would be helpful.

This sounds like a winner to me.

We don't keep any lengths of cloth here, only books and sometimes cloth in transit from mill/customer to Formosa for a day or two.

We have started receiving our summer Formosa suits in the Cacciopoli cotton Solaro (as well as some in Minnis Fresco, Drapers tobacco linen, and a lovely Tasmanian wool PoW). So I can help you with pics of swatches from the book or the made-up suit

Will take some snaps this weekend and post here. The best I can describe the color is as a greyish green. I'm a big fan.

Sounds very nice, although different from my proposition. I wouldn't be at all opposed to doing both, although LL may have exclusivity rights on reruns of the donkey.

I do prefer unbel's idea of a light tan, especially if it's brought to life as a melange of brown and grey. A donkey, while nice, wouldn't be nearly as useful for a pair of odd trousers.

I have 5y of that same donkey that I may never make. Would sell if offered an unreasonable price.

Maybe you can compensate by going commando? The fabric on your underwear has to be at least 2oz, I imagine.

Flannel was originally used as underwear, so this should work perfectly.

This proposition sounds itchy.

This sounds cool.
