Is dark blue nailhead wool a good (stylistic) choice for a Navy Blazer

?

It's kinda rough and S80s quality, so I guess it should be sufficiently non-suity.

Pretty much looks like this:

Is nailhead generally considered a suiting? Not a jacketing?

Crap, thats the closest thing to jacketing I found there. No hopsack, I was hoping for that, too.

I see what you mean, though; thanks!

Maybe you can find Loro Piana N16987. Picture may not look like it's navy but it is.
From my favorite range of jacketings at present.

A lot of people were making Fresco blazer-suits a few years back: does anyone have any opinion on or experiences of such a suit? I've been thinking of ordering one as a kind of flexible travel suit, but I'm worried that I will hate fresco as a blazer, probably because I think linen is all-around superior for summertime odd jackets and trousers.

You are right. I find my fresco to be worn as a two piece suit all the time.

I have one in Minnis 0520 RAF blue and I love it. My most versatile and favorite suit. Jacket works as a blazer, and I do use it that way. I like it so much, I'm having another made in 0511 mid-grey.

I am looking for a dark grey (not charcoal) mid-weight suiting fabric, but I can't quite find what I am looking for. Any recommendations?
