I can believe that. I've not seen R&T cloth like that since the early 90's and it may have been old stock then. When I first started getting clothes made in the late 80's R&T was the cloth all the tailors raved about, well, here in the north of England, Lessers never got a mention. Sadly, I never indulged, as at that time I thought it had an old fashioned look to it, especially the twist suitings. You have to use it to make a coat, a tie would be a waste. What weight is it, 18oz?

To be sure 4m for the suit, 2 m for the SB jacket, 2.2 if it has plaid (for the pattern matching). There are some tailor that can do that with less, but that is the safe side.

2m is adequate for jackets, even if they are patterned, unless you are very large and tall.
