16 oz. I probably won't be having any jackets made up for a long while, and summer jackets are far down on my priority list. I just don't see the need for them as much, although it would be nice to have some.

Unfortunately, I am not color blind and get to see this in all its glory. Colorblindness is interesting if only because most men register this navy suit I have with a rather hot pink stripe as red stripes, which they find "manly" while the women see it as pink which they find "secure in one's manliness"

Matt, From memory, the colours in your cloth wasn't as saturated as it's coming across and certainly not from a distance. I do remember that the two colours would look quite different depending on how they caught the light. Anyway, here are some very boring colours and cloth that perhaps we can all agree on. Most are flannel and J&J Minnis. There is one, the very dark navy, from Fox and also some navy blue overcoating. There is some heavy-weight mid-grey Fresco, too. Enjoy. Brown and dark air-force blue flannels (0307 and 0304 respectively)

Here we have some Fresco, 0301 (mid), 0300 (light), 2003 navy coating and Fox navy flannel.

Well, it might be because we're using different monitors, but the colors are relatively saturated under the natural light that comes into my apartment. It's a very warm brown. The purple sometimes looks greyer, but it's usually purple. However, you're right that the pattern and colors are not nearly so bold from a distance. I imagine that anyone not carefully inspecting the cloth would see it as brown with blue overcheck.

Not that you asked... but I definitely like. Bolder checks are my preference ... particularly during fall and winter. After a while, the ordinary just doesn't do it anymore ... it's simply another facet of mass production.

I'll always remember my original order with Dege. They put it this way ... "This made up really well, which is a bit of a surprise for us. We had our concerns at the time you selected it."

So much for Dege's willingness to share thoughts with the customer ... at least this particular customer.

As for the purple (almost a lilac or ceanothus) and teal, I have an A&S in lovat green with a windowpane in very similar colors. It's one of my favorites.

I wouldn't hesitate to have that made up into a coat.

Oh ... there is always tan, taupe, rust, brick, ... and one or more browns.​

A good number of posters aren't mafoofan. And in this case ... I'd say a good number of posters are ... quite frankly ... gutless. The coat is a steal ... as long as it fits.​

But Doc, given that you are colorblind (the reason I've switched to gray) and find those colors perplexing, I exclude you from those covered by that comment.​
