Yeah, I mean, I just like the rich areas of most places, and generally ignore poor parts of town. I live in NOLA and refuse to go to the Quarter because poor people make me ill.
I guess I just though a lot of the properties across the river were really dope. The minor league baseball stadium/team looked fun too.
Re: Charleston WV. The minor league games are fun (as they are pretty much everywhere) but it gets old when that's basically the most popular thing to do during the summer. At least the evening summer night temps aren't still 85+ degrees like they are in the South.
Almost all those old houses on Kanawha Blvd (along the river) are now law firms. There are a few nice lofts downtown though.
I'm pretty sure they still hang blacks in WV
And subsist on coal and moonshine
Not certain but I don't want to put my neck on the line
I've had moonshine every time I've visited. It was much better than I expected.
