Hi everyone,
My Tumi briefcase is on its last leg so I am on the market for a new one. I came across a few Coach briefcases that I like and I have a few questions:
I like the Coach Metropolitan, but it comes in several styles. The Metropolitan Soft Briefcase can be had for a really nice price right now, but it is pebbled leather. I am curious about how pebble leather ages. Specifically, how flimsy does it become over time?
Another question I have is how you all like the Metropolitan Soft Briefcase versus the Metropolitan Slim Briefcase. I am drawn to the Slim because it looks a bit more professional, and I also tend to like more firm briefcases as they stand upright more easily. That said, I am willing to be persuaded otherwise. I am eyeing black in either bag, though I am open to another color being as how I do not work in a super professional/traditional setting. Below are the bags I am looking at for reference...
Metropolitan Soft: https://www.coach.com/coach-metropolitan-soft-brief/72318.html?cgid=men&dwvar_color=QB/BK
Metropolitan Slim (with black copper hardware - another version also comes with brass hardware in black or saddle leather):
Also note that I found the Metropolitan Slim on ebay from what appears to be a reliable vendor for about $250!
Thanks,
Mike
