Like what, does Tom Ford use Zegna Couture, Gucci Z Zegna and others mainline Zegna.
They are all part of the Zegna umbrella
The naming is just nitpicking since I believe much of Mainline and Couture are made in same Italian factory by same employees.
A lot of Mainline is also made in Switzerland.
The Z line is made anywhere in world where cheap labor can be sourced. I last heard they were made in Mexico.
Pretty sure Gucci are not made in Mexico, comparison of lower end Gucci (suits with retail under 2K) with Z Zegna was a comparison of quality.
Does this imply that Mainline and Couture are made to the same standard(as using the same employees) or is there still a quality difference due to different fabric used? They are all part of the Zegna umbrella

There are quality differences between the lines.
With in the lines there are differences in fabric.
This means you can buy a high quality cashmere mainline or a basic linen couture.
The cashmere fabric would be considered nicer but the quality of the over all couture jacket better.
