I had to listen to a guy complain about Boston yesterday. He went on and on about its people, traffic, thats its racist ect. Turns out he's never even been there. When I asked where he was from (Philadelphia - near the cheese steak joints

) it was clear that he was one of these Millennials that needs to express a strong opinion about something even in the face of total ignorance.

To be fair, Boston has plenty of racist assholes.

I've said it before, I think 20 somethings and teens are smarter these days compared to my generation (I'm turning 34 next week), but their main problem is speaking out of turn.

I'm pissed off because my brother was supposed to visit this weekend, he was in DC for work this week. I called him yesterday morning to make plans and he's already boarding a plane back to SFO. Apparently the other people in his group were afraid of the "storm" and decided to fly out early.

Goes along with what L'In was saying about young people and having their opinions before knowing facts.

Then again, these people could always have an "impression" about a place without having been there, but not make concrete statements about them. I have to watch myself in this case. Like I always say I hate L.A. I have never been there, but what I hate is the impression I get from it and attributes that I hate that are factual, (ie. the weather, traffic...) As I got older I have started to stop myself from making jerky statements like I would have when I was younger.

Fair point. I think a lot of this is just being a dumbass kid, and I'm sure dumbass kids of all generations have been like this. Every 16 year old thinks he knows everything about how the world works, and it's not until he hits his late twenties or early thirties that he realizes how much of an idiot he was.

And yeah, I hate LA too, despite never having been there :fistbump:

An internship that I had has come to an end--it was fun while it lasted, and I would continue with it, but my transit funding has run out...

Stop eating processed food substitute, it kills you. Your body is giving you a clear signal. Listen.

Actually credit the school system here, they showed the kids Super Size Me. My kids do no want to eat at McShit anymore. They've developed a love for Chipotle now.

Last few pages have been people talking about millenials talking about things they don't have a clue about, and then comes idfnl to show that it isn't particular to any generation.

It's not just millenials. I think it has something to do with the internet. People confuse having access to a lot of information with actually knowing things
