I think different pants would be better here @ManofKent, probably something plain or if patterned something that's not so clashing

Thanks - The clash was a deliberate experiment, and I think you're right. I do wonder though whether if I'd gone further with a clashing jacket and clashing scarf it might have worked better...

That's not a bad thought. I'd be interested to see that. Might take it to where no one pattern is really dominating.
