feel like this would look so much more balanced if the jacket was 1in longer or so

Thanks, I actually swapped out the jacket for one that is slightly longer and darker grey before I went out. Not sure it was entirely successful but I need to get out of the comfort zone sometimes.

edit: Here is what I ended up going with:

Wait a minute though, are thumb comments going to slow the growth of my post count, that measure of my worth?

...and how i wish that mossy jacket were a touch larger !

man, me too. i'm thinking about letting out the sleeves and just wearing it open as a beefy shirt-jacket layer.

More of a should I or shouldn't I keep the ts(s) overcoat:

1800

I think it looks ok open, but I was expecting more of a straight fit and it's a bit more of an A-fit.

i'm glad you're experimenting with longer and looser stuff. but i don't think this coat is a good one to start with-- the lapel shape and huge pockets are kind of ugly. fwiw, i think a sharper coat would look great with your build/face/hair (though the rest of your outfit would then need to be less americana to go along with it).

i encourage you to replicate your thumb comments in posts. call it 'hirshing a thumb".

As someone whose overcoat-related opinions I deeply respect, I appreciate the input. I don't really mind the pockets for whatever reason, but I agree that the lapels are kind of off-putting.

Once you give a thumb, you can't go back and add a comment. ALAS!
