Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent tailor in Burlington or financial district Toronto? I don't need significant work done, but some suits have loose button, pants need lining re-done, jackets sleeves need shortening. Probably have 5 suits that each need some level of work done.

I've used Xavier before near Yonge/Bloor like 7-8 years ago. He was really good, but I remember not liking something about the experience. I think his hours may have been limited and hard for me to get to. Would ideally like someone closer to union station, and probably dont need someone as good as him

Harold ties are decent, specifically their wool ones when on sale. They aren't seven fold, but make a decent knot.

Who cares if they don’t fit! They are 80% off that is all that matters!! For some!!

Also when $2300 Blake constructed shoes are high level… high level price that is no doubt.

Blake construction is not a sign of lower quality. There are Blake stitched shoes made to a high standard (e.g., Top-end Berluti), just as there are GY welted shoes made to a low standard (too many examples).

Tom Ford makes their own shoes?

Tom Ford shoes in terms of build quality are comparable to the names mentioned?

They may look nice but they are not in the same quality as many brands that are SF approved!!

Now at the HR outlet at 70% off yes they may be a good value.

What is of high standard here? Price, label ?

You are comparing a fashion label to actual shoe makers.

Please elaborate where this quality originated from?

Sure you go tell yourself that...
Seems like it would depend on what you want, no? I recently bought a pair of lightweight Italian loafers that I think use a modified Blake construction (sacchetto?) because I was looking for something in that vein. I wouldn't want a GYW for that – and the majority of my shoes are GYW (Alden, Carmina, one pair of Bonafe handwelt).

I don't think you can get GYW in a lightweight loafer...? I mean I wouldn't want GYW in my sneakers either...?
