HALP! please.
Back at my motel for a bit...Got about 2 hours to return items by end of day else I'm stuck with them. Can anyone eyeball this stuff and give opinions please? 4 items. (sorry for some sideways photos and hurried post - gotta get back there and return if necessary!)

#1: Hermes tie. Label looks ok to me, as does the style # thing, and the "H" weave in the silk. but i have never seen a card motif on a hermes tie.

#2: mystery jacket, "made in England" on two tags, one tag inside the pocket has handwriting on it. No other tags. Cotton shell, poly lining with wool in-between. leather trim & collar. snaps are brass Prym; zipper is Salmi. lining has a diamond pattern. any of this ring a bell with anyone as to who the maker may be?

#3 and #4: 2 pairs Evisu jeans. both look good to me but i am not familiar. saw some other Evisu's without the apparent selvedge and those were marked made in china - these do not have the made in china tags, and only have the red stamp things inside on the pocket w/ "genes" and "japon" etc...

Thanks!

Guys , halp!

I'm looking at a NWT Hickey Freeman for Nordstroms suit, Loro Piana wool, 42 R, and perfect -- except there's threading and no buttons on the sleeve. Can anyone tell me what this is? Cop? Yes?

Thanks...

Just a couple things today. Stores were a ghost town compared to most weekends. There were more people there at 10 am on a Friday than at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Must be a lot of people going out of town or up to the cabins to close up shop for the season. Either way, things were still super picked over. Managed to get a couple things.

Wings & Horns slubby chambray S/S. Made in Japan. Keeper.

Price? I'd say it's worth a go (even though I'm not sure what you mean on the sleeve...). Loro Piana fabric generally fetches a nice premium on teh 'bay which I assume is what you're looking for?

All are tagged 40 and available. They all fit me, but I can't stand the heavily padded shoulders.

2 x Zegna 15milmil15 SCs.

Charvet. 50% off at consignment. This store usually prices Charvet ties at $42, but they missed this and marked it at $12. Score!

Edited to add this horror story:
I'm flipping through the SCs in the GW where I found the Zegna and Canali jackets. I pass a ******, outdated BB jacket and notice something stiff, like a brochure, in the inner jacket pocket. Turns out it's not a brochure. I pull out a Polaroid of one of the most disturbing images I've ever seen: an old, wrinkly, obese grandmother completely naked after what appears to be open heart surgery. I was mortified. I thought about taking the picture and throwing it away, but I didn't want to be seen with it in my hand on the way to the trash, so I just left it in the jacket. If I didn't already have the Zegnas in my possession I would have left immediately.

Dang!! I'd be absolutely thrilled with even 1/3 of that stuff.

NATAKU (we need a Nat signal) - is this anything. It's down, and made in Canda so figured it was worth picking up?)

Sadly nothing crazy. Never heard of the company, but that style of quilting (smaller squares) was popular in the 50's and 60's. I'd say that piece is from the mid 60's. Pretty cool jacket, though. Really warm too. Anyone in a colder climate should have at least one down jacket.

And just like that, the search for the perfect waxed cotton jacket ends.

Beautiful jacket there, Easy! :slayer:

Guessing the thread on the sleeves is white? Suit hasn't been to a tailor yet. Threads are to show the tailors where to make alterations, then add the buttons after. That is NWOT right there.
