are you going to realistically back all 3 should the other 2 become available as well?Nope. I voted for three, brown shell Townleys being one of them.

I assume you got the Carmina 973! I was about to pull the trigger on that as well, but backed out after realizing there is an opportunity for an EC in brown grain. Ended up with the 5 eyelet chukka vegano.
I wanted to get the first GMTO (or first 2 or 3?) done with as much participants just to show AE that there are enough numbers in our group to actually have a GMTO program that works for AE's bottomline. The EC was one of the more famous models MTOd within the group so I had to put it in.
...
That said, if we are successful in this first one, I am hopeful that Paul formalize a GMTO program for the group and then each one can have a go at organizing their preferred make-ups

Thanks! This is for gauging interest, not for backing yet. I'm in pending costs. The numbers from this survey will be used to see which of the options are feasible etc.
From my understanding anyway.

AE has not done GMTOs before so they dont know what everyone else is doing price-wise. Its my understanding from watchidiot's post that Paul might actually give us a price below retail depending on the number of orders. Thanks!
I was under the assumption that GMTO is charged the sameway as all the other retailers - with MTO fee excluded. If that is the case, the shoes would just basically be MSRP right?
So shell should be $650 (before tax) and boots (EC) should be whatever the MRSP is for boots.

I'm well aware of the concept but this isnt your typical GMTO when AE has never done one and we are told the pricing depends on the number of orders. The typical concept of a GMTO is to get enough people together to do a "standard run". Every vendor I have seen then just charges retail and drops customization fees...
and would have only asked for PP and the Bayfield only.
