My basic look at this point is jeans, a polo or button down shirt, a wool sweater and either a blazer, suede coat or peacoat as weather permits.

I buy regular, off the shelf tall shirts. Reasonable quality is hard to find but a 16 neck and a 36/37 sleeve usually fits me (although the shirts are not fasionably slim, im satisfied).

I am limited in my selection of clothing but, I like classic and timeless style.

You buy regular tall shirts FROM WHERE?

Im close to 6´4 and 176lb.
If you want stuff fitting slim, go for the slim fittings brands! Someone mentioned ben sherman, in which a xl polo is rather long on me, and really fitting. Jeans isn´t difficult, anything with a 34 or 36 inseam (some japanese brands like sugarcane isn´t really available though.) Otherwise I guess it depends pretty much on your built. I got fairly broad shoulders and chest, so a slim fitting H&M shirt in XL fits fine, while most "regular" fits are huge. If you a really slender, a L would work fine I think.

Tall sizes seems great, but isn´t really available in Sweden. I think I´ll be going for L tall (maybe M tall if it existed) in Carhartt jackets though.

No name hood, selected jacket in xxl (!!), Dockers l/s tee in xl, LVC 501 47 in 33x36)

I just found out that eddie bauer has some tall slim fitting stuff. Haven't checked it out yet but it's worth looking into.
