I am a casual observer of teh Pantas, so, no, I did not recognize the hand-rolled edges as Ed's work. However, I am a keen observer of the labia majora, and I fail to see the connection you're making here!
Ed's ties have a larger than usual swelled edge... you know... well, you know.
I think the term you're looking for is "engorged."
