Chad, if you're interested Polo also makes a corduroy pant that fits the same as the picture you posted. I almost bought them, but I too am looking for a slim chino.

On a related note, does anyone know where to find a twill pant that is cut like a jean? I'm looking for patch pockets on the seat and a horizontally oriented pocket on the front rather than the usual slash pocket. Slimmish fit of course.

I found some pants like this at H&M last summer but their stock turns over so fast you would be lucky to get something from last week.

Keep your eyes out.

Thanks for all the input, guys/gals.

Save Khakis are elusive at a good price.

truestorytravis, BR had a great twill jean last fall, but it was bootcut. It was slim enough that a trip to the tailor wouldn't be a big hassle.

They were called the "utitlity jean." If you track any down, let me know! My pair is pretty beat up.

I stumbled onto the J Crew corduroys while shopping in a mall with my family. Not bad, jean cut and thin wale..about $50 on sale.

If any of you guys are still looking for the J.Crew slim-fit khaki, they are only available online or in the catalog. I picked up a few with my slim-fit polo order and can report back on fit if anyone's interested.

They sell select colors on the Broken in Slim Fit chinos in some of the retail stores, but it's really based on luck if you can get them near where you live.

I have a pair of the chinos and the cords, and they are fairly slim compared to other chinos that fit like tents. I've noticed that mine stretch out a lot and become loose between washings, but once I was and dry they shrink back down and become slim again.

Lately I've been wearing jeans every day so these don't see as much use.

Yeah, I found the Broken-Ins but they didn't have a single Essential. Then I found out about the stupid exclusivity

Ah, yes the essential as well as the office chino are exclusive to the online store and the catalog, although Get Smart mentioned, IIRC, that they did have them at his local neighborhood J. Crew.

Their slim fit chinos are leaps and bounds ahead of most other mall brands.

Really. I didn't find the broken-in's to be anything special. They looked similar to the Banana Republic and Gap slim fit models. I'm hoping the essential model will be an improvement.

The "Vintage Chino's" are back in stock at Uniqlo. I'd read the thread on Superfuture gushing about these pants and bought them during the summer. Didn't understand the hype. Turns out I bought the regular chino's, and the vintage ones weren't in stock.

I saw them last Saturday, but Uniqlo on a Saturday is a clusterfuck. No 32x32. Stopped by again yesterday and they had one pair left in my size.

These are incredible chino's, $40, slim fit, herringbone pockets, metal donut button, incredible YKK zipper. One of the best values I've ever seen.

just bought the other khaki color yesterday, easily a great value/price ratio for the vintage cut chinos
