A most gloomy reason to wear black oxfords sadly came, very suddenly. Hadn't worn my old pair since 2010(!). Turns out my feet are now way too wide, so I had to get a new pair in haste (after christmas presents, travels and whatnot - ouch). First thought was to get a pair from Myrqvist or Morjas, but I had a look at Löf & Tung Gilbert. Nobrainer. And damn, you do get alot for the extra 70-100€ extra compared to the mentined brands. I'd say they beat Loake 1880 as well, which in Sweden are in the same price range. Swan neck, fudging, tight and shaped heels, classier cuts all around. And not least a much more clean make. Top QC as always with L&T. S-last, leather sole. Just the right level of snugness. Bonus points for being the first welted shoe where my heels don't slip when brand new. Despite the very sad reason I bought them, I'm pretty sure they'll come to good use on much brighter occasions in the future. All my friends who got engaged during covid better plan their weddings soon!

I onw a lot of shoes from L&T and I think they are the best value for your money. My favorite last is L. I wish they released more models in it, I'd buy them all

Looks dope Eric! Never care what anyone says. If a style has stayed for 500 years it wont go out of style =)
