We designed these as the plainest, cleanest five-pocket silhouette we could imagine... something that strikes the perfect balance between our two reigning gold standards as far as jeans are concerned. (They've got a little more taper than a Levi's 501, but without going quite as slim as an A.P.C. New Standard.) In other words, they're pretty close to perfect. And a baby-wale cord is just about the most versatile thing you can wear in cooler weather: when you wear a pair with a sport coat, you'll look pulled-together, but you can really dial it back with a casual shirt and boots... think of them like a grown-up take on jeans. We even garment-dyed them to nail the color.
