I'm going to agree with AR_Six and say don't look at cotton parkas. The kind of cold we get in Toronto will cut right through anything but the heaviest cottons, which neither of those jackets seem to be. Between those two, I'd say the first one just because it's wool lined, but neither is going to do you much good on days like today when it's hovering around -20.
