I was going to buy some J. Crew Officer's Chinos in black but shipping is $12.50. It pissed me off to the point where I just closed the window. Everytime I order from them I can't get over what a joke their shipping is.

If you order from the little red phone they have inside the store, shipping is free. Didn't know if you knew this or not...

JD_May, who makes that? That stitching looks Nudie-ish.

So, what are you going to wear it with? It could be interesting with certain pieces; perhaps Rye's pink jeans?

It's 7Fam, but I agree it does look like a nudie jacket. My first thought was brown or dark tan chinos. Maybe black jeans? Sadly (I think) I don't own any pink jeans.

Looks like someone else BIN'd it anyway, so I'm saved from myself.

I think its strange that I'm drawn to the Gucci tapestry bags for fall. I'm not going to post pics, because I already know the opinions of the peanut gallery.

And he can use his student ID for a 10% (IIRC) discount as well.

They came today bit I am going to send em back. I sized down to a 30 and it's still too big in the waist. Measures 32" and I am a hair below a 32 so after stretching I'd be screwed. The "10 year wash" is okay (I got the black ones) and the slub twill is really nice. Sending these back is a shame. I may keep em, we'll see. They'll be no worse in the waist than my RRL chinos which fit the same and have the same details. I may try and see what a tailor can do cause I love these otherwise. Maybe move buttons 1 inch or something (button fly).

I'm torn. I don't like the sleeve ribbings, and something else just seems off. If I look at it one detail at a time, it seems nice, but then all in all that picture doesn't look good to me.

^^yeah, that sweater is from the Banana Republics "Monogram" collection...I haven't really found anything in that collection that I like. It seems nice for the price points, though I definitely don't like the "varsity theme" that they have been running with for a while. I have almost pulled the trigger on some Monogram items on sale in the past, but there is something very off-putting about them. May be that I really don't like that model. Overall the arm-stripes are more than enough for me to say no to that sweater.
