Don't you guys like the shaft pic?

On a completely unrelated note, anyone ever ordered from the ebay seller madagascan**vanilla**? Perfect feedback and very cheap.

Yes, one of the most popular and reputable dealers online. Don't hesitate.

Wow, good to hear. I normally pay 2-3€ for 2 vanilla pods. Do you know about the quality of his spices? ~1€ for 50g of bird-eye-chili/pimento/whatever is pretty cheap, too. Just don't want to buy some old, stale spices.

IIRC those ebay vanilla pods are quite good. Much more fragrant and oily than what you can buy in most stores here...And ridiculously less expensive.

That's great. I'll order some spices too and report back.

I have no doubt there are any number of recipes out there that would answer my question, so you have to answer this...

What are some good things to make that aren't pasta or soups that contain a bunch of veggies, some meat, is cheap and I can eat throughout the week. I only cook for one (no forever alone). Basically I'm trying to save money be healthier and eat more veggies. I can do soups, so don't need any help on that front. But want some other suggestions.
