the other night i had left over lasagna that was too dry. this is where jarred sauce comes in handy.

I do make my own, and it's good... but I stand by the need to keep a jar and some pasta around for emergencies. Also... pecorino (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pecorino) is a cheese... I believe you meant pepperoncini or crushed red pepper. I would also suggest adding some grated carrot to control the acid a bit (better for you than sugar)

I was just eating some pasta with tomato sauce when I came across this thread. Such a coincidence that the sauce I have came from Mario Batali's jar. I think it's even better than Rao's. It's probably double the cost of the other jars, but it's in a league of its own.
