I've been looking all over for some Polo custom fit shirts for my business wardrobe. The classic fits are easy to come by, they can be found anywhere for cheap. The only place I have found custom fit ones are on the Ralph Lauren website or other retail places for full price (85-110) which i think is too much considering i need to stock up on a bunch of these.

any thoughts on where to look for RL custom fit dress shirts at a discount? ebay has been of no avail :-(

Marshalls is one of the only places custom fit pops up anymore. I asked at several department stores, and they said RL was toning down the production of custom fit. However, that was a year ago, so I'm not sure what the status is now. I never see them at outlets anymore except as a rare fluke.

I heard RL quit making them - too much confusion among the rank and file.

They have some at RL boutiques and factory stores too. The RL boutique ones seem to be heavily discounted - I got a Regent Custom Fit (solid white) for $60.00

This is not the case. The retail Ralph store just got some new ones delivered last week or so in summer fabrics.

Do you want the department store $85 ones or the $145+ ones sold in Ralph's stores? There is quite a big difference in the two - the pricier ones are indeed hard to find on sale.

I got a Regent Custom fit for about $70 (off from $140 I think) very recently at a RL store. There are a large number of deals going on right now at the major locations.

The SA was pretty incredibly, and though I was purchasing RLBL shirts, he recognized that the Custom Fit would suit me as well and returned with one while I was sizing the others. I've liked it quite a bit. The sleeves are a little shorter, but the whole shirt works very well, and at that price the fit is light-years better than anything else I've found.

I bought a Polo custom fit dress shirt at Stein Mart in Orlando, FL for $20 a couple of months ago, I love it.

I have four Regent shirts and one Curham. Regent has a wider spread collar though.

Of the five ralph lauren shirts I own, three have mother of pearl buttons.

It seems like lately a bunch of RL shirts have come with MOP buttons.

Mostly the $145+ ones with cursive script come with MOP buttons, but I have seen exceptions to the rule on both sides. You just have to inspect the individual shirts.
