You might be the exception. Still doesn't stop most others looking stupid.

Ups, do not know that member, but he has great skills, most of the habitual suspects of Pitti are there, lol.

Lots of people with opinions here huh. I think it flatters you more if you end your posts with a simple "IMHO".

Personally, I think the whole idea that no one under 60 can wear a hat is BS. I wear hats all the time, lots of my friends do as well. If it works or not depends on whether you look comfortable doing so, and if it's appropriate for the lifestyle you lead.

I agree completely. While the most official business styles may be a bit hard to pull off with a hat, more relaxed styles - such as casual suits - are easier. Hat is, I think, appropriate to any age. Of course, when young folks use classical brimmed hats, there's a certain period until the look is "owned", so I'd recommend them to begin with flat caps, baker boys etc.

I have been to many Pitti's before and I have to say that this was different than the rest. When it comes to Pitti, two worlds collide. The surreal and the hard to believe. I say that because sometimes I wonder what goes on creatively in the minds of these gents and ladies in regards to dressing. I know that allot of them if I may say are "peacocking" but it was rather different this year. Somehow this year it seems like those cliche's of overdressing just somehow changed. The dynamic of the gentleman to the extraordinaire intertwined and became a fine line of some how refined yet flamboyant elegance. It is really nice to see those two just come together. Also as we mature with age, allot of us mature with our style and the way we see the world but also how that reflects on our way we dress, behave and create. In all I have to say this was a great Pitti full of surprises and amazing discoveries.
