For whatever reason the high contrast of Spectators never did it for me. They seem to cry for attention or are too dandyish or something (flog the heathen!!!). There's something appealing about these though and I can't quite place what sets them apart from others...something about that triple-stitched serrated brown cap-toe.

I think you're right. The high contrast seems to be abated by the cap-toe. With fewer curves to catch the eye, maybe I could live with something like that.

OK, probably not, but even considering it is a step for me...

Love captoe'd spectators! Used to be obessessed with em in the mid 90s. Those auction shoes look great, too big for me tho
