Well the wind was wild when I was walking home last night... Thankfully it wasn't raining so I was able to have my Brigg safely furled and tied closed. I wouldn't have been able to hold it up in the gusts which were absolutely brutal! Usually we get gusts which last a few seconds but last night they were just sustained and must have been up around 60mph at times. I held the crown of my fedora to my head but eventually gave up on that too and held it VERY tightly in my hand. If it had blown off it would surely have been lost forever! At times the wind just blew me to a standstill - I don't think any umbrella would have been safe early yesterday evening - in fact I don't think I could have got an umbrella open in that wind...

Thankyou for your story Lucy J,
you seem to get lots of strong winds in your area.

Those Brigg golf umbrellas have raised a lot in price.
Not long ago they were 130 GBP but now they are 320 GBP.
Why such a large increase?
