In all seriousness, I think it comes to people wanting something new seeing the show and being disappointed, and those who just wanted more of Hedi where he left off in 06 at DH in womenswear form were ecstatic.

I thought the sex appeal was there, and the classic slimane aesthetic and fit have returned in full glory, but it went amiss in a few places. I still enjoy it though, and think the criticism is a little overblown. His outerwear is always fantastic, especially in person.

Yes, I guess it's ok that some people might be pissed that it's nothing exciting and new.
I was looking for some typical hedi and he didn't disappoint. And it was also YSL which was good as well. I felt it was very humble for a first runway show under this house. We'll see how it evolves, which he will for sure.

When is Slimane's first menswear collection for SL? When I went to the new website I noticed that the pieces were much cooler than I remembered, and everything that I wanted was already sold out (e.g., raw black indigo jacket...cool!). It looks like his stuff...is it there already?

Was the pre-order in limited quantities? More than half the stuff was sold out, I couldn't tell if it was a system error or if the pre-sale actually sold out on the day it dropped. If so, that's pretty impressive, especially considering that there was nothing, even the tees, under $500.
