Close call. I almost bought a new pair of glasses and new shoes. The glasses were the really close one. Very cool tortoise shell. But I held out. [Plus I was already spending a fortune getting new lenses for existing glasses.]

At the end of the month, those who had close calls can summarize the $ saved by sticking to the club discipline. Then we can add them all up and figure out what impact we had on the global economy this month. I'm already at $300 (Moncler parka) + $800 (Borrelli suit)...

I think I'll be a successful member even though I didn't join...

Well I traded a pair of shoes to a friend for a turtleneck and some money, dunno if that counts. I made a profit so maybe it's ok...

aw, crap. My client for the next two weeks is located a block from Rodeo Dr. My Club membership is in serious jeopardy.

I'm super close to bowing out.

I think i need to work my way up gradually to a full month without a purchase.

Beware the Ides of March ... but I'm still "in". I find myself with a bit of lumbar discomfort today, probably from carrying around an unexpectedly full wallet.

Where the hell were you getting a Borrelli for $800?

Actually don't answer that....
