This was interesting. Thanks for sharing. I always thought that the "H" on the Montreal jersey stood for "Les Habitants." Now I know.

I would wager that few Detroiters know the origins of the name "Red Wings".

+1 on both. I think the Wild would have benefitted from one of their other names. I also didn't know the Atlanta Flames were a Civil War reference...cool.

I am curious to see how badly the ducks get outshot this year. Last game they gave up 50+ and had maybe 20 shots on goal. At their current rate they will get their first win in december. Sutton and Lydman are supposed to be top 4 guys on defense and wont be back for a while (injuries).... sigh
